Why Should the Fire Die?
By Nickel Creek
see related

Helena, don't walk away
Before you give me back my heart
If it were mine it would be yours to take
I'm sorry I let down my guard, oh Helena

You looked so sweet
I should have seen
While I was playing for fun
You were playing for keeps

You win I lose
Is there some way
You can leave me
In your debts oh my girl

And I can live to die another day
On that day I won't forget you Helena

You look so sweet
Waiting for me
While I wait for her
To give me any reason to leave

Don't waste your pretty sympathy
She's gonna be just fine
Helena so will we
So will everything in time

Helena don't walk away
Did you hear one word I said oh well
I never really liked her anyway
And I forgot her: I'll forget you Helena

You're not that sweet
And neither is she
Go ahead and tell her anything

You are good Helena
Guys like me never sleep alone at night
I don't need your sympathy
Cause I'll always be
Just fine
Yeah I'll always be
Just fine

Yeah I'll always be
Just fine

Dang.

Try to see it my way,
Do I have to keep talking till I can’t go on?
While you see it your way,
Run the risk of knowing that our love may soon be gone.
We can work it out.
We can work it out.
Think of what you’re saying,
You can get it wrong and still you think that it’s alright,
Think of what I’m saying,
We can work it out and get it straight, or say good-night.
We can work it out. We can work it out.
Life is very short, and there’s no time,
For fussing and fighting, my friend,
I have always though that it’s a crime,
So I will ask you once again.
Try to see it my way,
Only time will tell if I am right or I am wrong,
While you see your way,
There’s a chance that we may fall apart before too long.
Life is very short, and there’s no time,
For fussing and fighting, my friend,
I have always thought that it’s a crime,
So I will ask you once again.
Try to see it my way,
Only time will tell if I am right or I am wrong,
While you see it your way,
There’s a chance that we may fall apart before too long.
We can work it out. We can work it out.

Stand Still, Look Pretty
By The Wreckers, Michelle Branch, Jessica Harp

You're not sure that you love me
But you're not sure enough to let me go
Baby it ain't fair
You know you just keep me hanging round
You say you don't wanna hurt me
Don't wanna see my tears
So why are you still standing here
Just watching me drown

And it's alright
Yeah, I'll be fine
Don't worry about this heart of mine
Just, take your love and hit the road

There's nothing you can do or say
You're gonna break my heart anyway
So just leave the pieces when you go

Now you can drag out the heartache
Baby you can make it quick
You can get it over with and let me move on
Don't concern yourself with this mess you left for me
I can clean it up you see
Just as long as your gone

And it's alright
Yeah, I'll be fine
Don't worry about this heart of mine
Just take your love and hit the road
There's  nothing you can do or say
You're gonna break my heart anyway
So just leave the pieces when you go

You're not making up your mind
It's killin' me
And wasting time
I need so much more then that

And it's alright
Yeah, I'll be fine
Don't worry about this heart of mine
Just take your love and hit the road
There's  nothing you can do or say
You're gonna break my heart anyway
So just leave the pieces when you go

Leave the pieces when you go
Leave the pieces when you go

Yeah
Yeah
Yeah

Leave the pieces when you go

Driving away from the wreck of the day
And the light's always red in the rear-view
Desperately close to a coffin of hope
I'd
cheat destiny just to be near you
If this is giving up,
then I'm giving up
If this is giving up,
then I'm giving up, giving up
On love, On love

Driving away from the wreck of the day
And I'm thinking 'bout calling on
Jesus
'Cuz love doesnt hurt so I know I'm not falling in love
I'm just falling to pieces
And if this is giving up then
I'm giving up
If this is giving up then I'm giving up, giving up
On love, On love

Maybe I'm not up for being a victim of love
All my resistance will never be distance enough

Driving away from the wreck of the day
And it's finally quiet in my head
Driving alone, finally on my way home to the comfort of my bed
And if this is giving up, then I'm giving up
If this is giving up, then I'm giving up, giving up
On love
, On love

So.. X-Men III        wow. I loved it. It was great! I wish they would have gone more in depth with some of the new characters like they did with whats-his-face (that blue guy that Alan Cummings played... i dunno.) in the second movie. And i was very curious about how the social climate changed with non-mutants during the "war"... Other than that it was awesome. However, they cleverly left it wide open for a fourth movie. That is just unfair. I wanted to be emotionally done with X-men, and now I am not. I need to know what else happens!!! Gaaaaaa. But, anyway, it was great. Go see it!

Class is over in two days. I highly recommend summer classes. Well, some of them. Some need to be taken over a semester but some are awesome in 11 days! I love the pacing of my class.

I need to make Kathryn see how much she needs a roommate. Her new place is amazing, its like somewhere I will aspire to live in when I have a real job. Its small enough that I wouldnt feel bad for living there and big enough to feel like its really a house.
